Quik-Pop Access –

COLONY 28 LATCH FAILURES

Unfortunately I have to give my Buzbe boxes a low rating. I’ve made a huge investment in this system only to have multiple failures of the latches on these boxes. When I open the latches on the box the latch falls off and lands on the ground. This started to happen in the boat on a bright, sunny day. I have a theory as to what’s causing this. I purchased the Hive 26 case and filled it with Colony 28 boxes. I have an open fishing boat so this box is sitting out in the open all day. I suspect the sun is cooking the tackle boxes behind that clear cover but I don’t know for sure. Meanwhile I now have several boxes that will drop their latches on the ground every time I open them. The part of the gray box that holds the yellow latch in place seems quite flimsy when comparing it to the rest of the boxes construction. This is a major point of failure. This is my first notice of this failure to Buzbe so we’ll see how they respond.

Quality, heavy, kind of pricy.

Seems like tough stuff. Twice weight of my paintable boxes, and price but somehow it feels worth it! Waterproof is nice, wish I could get some longer lure boxes in the small cases. I’d buy again!
